Bespoke STEM kit solutions for organisations
Explore a tailored approach for educational campaigns, events, engagement activities, client projects and other organisation-led STEM ideas.
Start with your objective
A useful bespoke kit begins with a clear audience, purpose and setting. Contact STEM Kits Limited with an outline of your idea so the potential scope can be discussed before any specification or delivery commitment is made.

Heat Transfer & Low-Carbon Heating STEM Kit
Need
A major UK heating manufacturer wanted a practical educational resource to help secondary-school pupils understand heat transfer, pressure, heating and cooling, while supporting its wider STEM and engineering outreach.
Solution
We developed a bespoke GCSE-level kit using pumps, tubing, valves, temperature and pressure measurement and heat-transfer components to demonstrate the principles behind refrigeration, heat pumps and heating systems. Supporting materials covered theory, experiments, safety and pupil questions.
Result
A practical, repeatable classroom activity that turned otherwise abstract heat-transfer principles into hands-on experiments, while providing a platform for school trials, engineering engagement and future wider distribution.
After-School Electronics STEM Club
Need
A secondary school wanted to offer a practical electronics club for Key Stage 3/4 pupils but did not have a specialist electronics teacher available to run it.
Solution
We developed a complete 10-week CLUB kit for five teams of up to four pupils. It included reusable components, breadboards, test equipment, identification cards, weekly video introductions, student worksheets and additional guidance for the supervising adult.
Result
The school could run a structured hands-on electronics club without requiring specialist staff knowledge, giving pupils progressive experience of circuits, timers, counters, sound projects and a final team challenge. The reusable equipment also allowed the programme to be repeated with future groups.
Team Challenge STEM Project
Need
A school wanted a more advanced STEM activity that would develop electronics and programming skills while also encouraging teamwork, communication and project management.
Solution
We created a 10-week TEAM CHALLENGE programme in which five pupil teams worked on separate parts of a larger Arduino-based robotic project. Individual teams tackled areas such as the controller, sensors and communications before bringing their work together into a complete system.
Result
The programme combined practical electronics, coding and engineering with a genuine collaborative project structure. Pupils could see how individual technical tasks contribute to a larger system, while the reversible construction meant the equipment could be reset and reused with future groups.
Bespoke Wind Turbine STEM Kit
Need
An engineering organisation wanted an engaging, school-ready STEM activity that would introduce renewable energy while encouraging pupils to experiment, test ideas and improve their designs.
Solution
We designed a reusable wind turbine STEM kit that could be adapted across different age groups. Pupils could build and test turbine blades, measure electrical output and compare different designs. More advanced activities introduced data collection, graphing and Arduino-based experimentation.
Result
A scalable STEM outreach concept combining practical engineering, renewable energy and genuine design experimentation, with opportunities for school competitions and progressive activities from primary through to GCSE level.
